Emma Holden was named chief people officer at Man Group, and will start at the beginning of December.
She replaces Lara Carty, a spokesperson said. Further details about Carty's plans could not be learned.
Holden will report to CEO Robyn Grew and join the executive committee of the $178.2 billion global alternatives manager.
“As an investment firm, our people and culture are fundamental to who we are and our capability to deliver for clients,” Grew said in a news release. Holden “brings a wealth of experience managing a people function and an excellent track record of advising on strategy, developing teams and navigating complexity, all with a great deal of warmth and empathy. Emma will oversee the further development of our people function and ensure we continue to be able to attract and retain the best talent.”
Holden is chief people officer at Schroders and will leave at the end of September, a spokesperson said. Holden has been at Schroders for 17 years. Schroders had £773.7 billion ($978.3 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
"Emma leaves with our best wishes for the future. Her departure heralds the arrival of a new generation of HR leadership, and we are delighted that Sonia Jenkins has been promoted to chief people officer,” the spokesperson said.
