Lightspeed Venture Partners closed three funds totaling $4.2 billion in committed capital, the venture capital manager announced in a news release Tuesday.
Lightspeed closed the $1.83 billion Lightspeed Venture Partners Select IV, a late-stage expansion fund; the $1.5 billion Lightspeed Opportunity Fund, a late-stage venture capital/growth fund; and the $890 million Lightspeed Venture Partners XIII, its core venture capital fund.
Investors in both Venture Partners Select IV and Venture Partners XIII include the $44.7 billion Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook; and $33.4 billion Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin. Also invested in Venture Partners Select IV is the $167.2 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin.
Investors in Lightspeed Opportunity Fund include the $77.7 billion Michigan Retirement Systems, East Lansing.
