Kristerfor Mastronardi joined alternatives manager King Street Capital on Dec. 1 as managing director in the newly created position of global head of strategy.
Mr. Mastronardi reports to Brian Higgins, King Street's co-founder, managing partner and co-portfolio manager, confirmed a spokeswoman for the firm in an email.
Mr. Mastronardi will work closely with the company's management committee to lead strategic growth opportunities including partnerships and client solutions. He also will work with the firm's global investment committee on investment strategy and positioning, according to a King Street news release Monday.
"We all are thrilled to have Kris join King Street to help deliver the firm's investment capabilities globally. Kris has successfully developed investment platforms and partnered with investors to achieve meaningful, high-quality returns through multiple market cycles," said Mr. Higgins in the release.
Previously, Mr. Mastronardi was managing director and global head of business strategy at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management. He left the company in June, King Street's spokeswoman said.
Mr. Mastronardi was not directly replaced, said a Blackstone spokeswoman in an email.
King Street manages approximately $22 billion, according to its news release.
