Rick Rosen and Brian Schwartz, executive managing directors at alternative money manager H.I.G. Capital, have been promoted to co-presidents of the firm.
The Miami-based positions are new. Messrs. Rosen and Schwartz are managers of the U.S. middle-market fund series and the firm's Advantage Buyout Fund, respectively, according to a news release Wednesday.
Separately, Douglas Berman, also an executive managing director who oversees the firm's lower middle-market buyout team, was promoted to the position of head of U.S. private equity, and Wolfgang Biedermann, managing director, has been promoted to executive managing director and head of European buyouts.
Jordan Peer, managing director, could not be immediately reached to provide further information, including whether the positions are new.
H.I.G. Capital has $35 billion in assets under management.
