Jim Strang, managing director at Hamilton Lane who is currently the head of the private markets manager's Europe, Middle East and Africa business, was named chairman, EMEA.
It is a new position and is effective immediately. Based in London, Mr. Strang will continue to focus on primary funds across the EMEA region and will continue to support business development and client management relationship efforts throughout the region, spokeswoman Kate McGann confirmed.
Richard Hope, managing director on Hamilton Lane's secondary and co-investment teams, will succeed Mr. Strang as head of EMEA and leader of the firm's London office and will continue in his current position as well.
Hamilton Lane has about $481 billion in assets under management and supervision.
