Jeffrey D. Sharon joined alternative investment manager Gramercy Funds Management as managing director and global head of business development.
Mr. Sharon will oversee Gramercy's marketing, distribution and investor relations, spokesman Steve Bruce confirmed.
He assumes the duties of Stephen LaVersa, partner and head of business development and investor relations, who left the firm earlier this year.
Jeaneen Terrio, an Invesco spokeswoman, did not immediately respond to a request for information about Mr. Sharon's successor.
"As Gramercy continues its evolution as a world-class global asset management firm, we must continue to invest in our people, processes and culture, as well as enhance our investment strategies," said Robert Koenigsberger, managing partner and chief investment officer of Gramercy, in the news release, adding "we are thrilled to bring a proven business development leader like Jeff to Gramercy.
Gramercy manages $5.5 billion in emerging market strategies.
