Chris Kojima joined General Atlantic on Jan. 29 as global head of capital solutions, spokeswoman Liz McBain said.
It is a new position. Kojima duties include overseeing the growth equity firm's strategic partnerships, new business development and capital formation. He is a member of the senior leadership team and executive committee, reporting to Bill Ford, chairman and CEO.
Until October, Kojima had been a partner and global co-head of the client solutions group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. After his departure from GSAM, Kojima's co-head of the client solutions group, Matt Gibson, continued to lead the team.
General Atlantic had $83 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
