David Matter joined alternative investment firm Silver Creek Capital Management as co-chief investment officer alongside Eric Dillon, the firm's chief executive officer and co-CIO, a spokesman said.
Matter will help lead the firm's investment activities alongside Dillon, who had been the sole CIO. Until March 2022, Matter had been a managing director and co-CIO of BlackRock Alternative Advisors' hedge fund business.
"We are thrilled to welcome an investment executive of Dave's caliber to Silver Creek," Dillon said in a news release. "We share a vision for the future of the alternative investment sector and for how to accelerate Silver Creek's exciting growth trajectory."
Silver Creek had $8.5 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
