Energy Capital Partners closed its Energy Capital Partners IV at $6.8 billion.
The buyout fund that invests in large energy companies raised $3.5 billion for co-investment opportunities and had another $3.3 billion in capital commitments, according to a news release Tuesday.
Investors include the $157.6 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin.
A spokeswoman could not immediately provide further information.
