Lori Butler was named director of environmental stewardship at alternative money manager Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said in an email. Based in New York, Ms. Butler will work closely with the manager's investment teams and management of its portfolio companies to "help accelerate and improve sustainability, compliance and operational excellence initiatives across the firm's portfolio," a news release Tuesday.
She will report to John Krenicki Jr., vice chairman and operating partner, the spokeswoman said.
Ms. Butler was previously vice president of environment, health and safety at heating, ventilation and air conditioning company Carrier Corp.
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has more than $57 billion in assets under management.
