Broad Sky Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, has received a strategic investment from Capital Constellation, a group of global institutional investors that invest in growing money management firms, said Jacqueline Schofield, a Broad Sky spokeswoman.
Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.
Tyler Zachem, CEO, originally founded Broad Sky in 2014. A year later, Mr. Zachem and his team joined The Carlyle Group, which acquired a portion of Broad Sky's investments. Mr. Zachem relaunched Broad Sky Partners in June 2021. Capital Constellation was launched in 2018 and is a joint venture of sovereign wealth funds that intends to invest a total of $1.5 billion in new private equity and alternative investment funds by 2023.
Wafra Group, which is owned by the more than $100 billion Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait, is the investment manager of Capital Constellation.
