Hala Zeine joined Blackstone Group's portfolio operations group as a managing director for the technology sector, a spokesman confirmed.
The position is new. Ms. Zeine is based in Munich, the spokesman said.
Ms. Zeine works with Blackstone's technology portfolio companies on accelerating growth and innovation. She also advises Blackstone's investment teams in identifying and evaluating opportunities in the technology sector. She has a particular focus on Europe.
"Her depth of experience, combined with her collaborative approach, will add tremendous value to our companies and their leadership teams," said Jennifer Morgan, global head of portfolio operations, in a news release.
Blackstone has $649 billion in assets under management.
Ms. Zeine was chief product officer for Germany-based global software firm Celonis.
