Eric Duchon was named global head of real estate ESG at Blackstone Group.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman confirmed. He will report to Giovanni Cutaia, Blackstone's global head of real estate asset management.
Mr. Duchon will work with Blackstone's global real estate asset management teams to build on environmental, social and governance efforts throughout the firm's $329 billion global real estate portfolio, according to a news release Thursday.
Mr. Duchon was previously global head of sustainability at real estate money manager LaSalle Investment Management. Matt Schuler, spokesman for LaSalle, said the firm is working to fill the role later in the fourth quarter.
