Apollo Global Management hired Kevin Pluff as a partner and co-head of capital markets alongside Michael Shapiro, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Pluff, who was most recently head of capital markets at HPS Investment Partners, will join after a period of gardening leave, one of the people said. Capital markets is part of the firm’s Apollo Capital Solutions business, led by Eric Needleman.
An Apollo spokesperson declined to comment, as did a spokesman for HPS.
Pluff, who’s based in New York, joined HPS in 2022 from UBS Group, where he was co-head of leveraged finance and capital markets for the Americas.
