Jennifer Kerr has been named a partner and head of strategic partnerships-Canada in the institutional client group at Apollo Global Management.
Kerr is taking over a newly created role, a spokesperson for Apollo said.
In this position, the Toronto-based Kerr will be responsible for "expanding Apollo's footprint in Canada and deepening the firm's relationships with institutional investors in the region," said a news release issued on Sept. 12.
Kerr will report to Chris Buchanan, the global head of the institutional client group, the spokesperson added.
Kerr most recently served as managing director-credit investments and head of credit strategy at CPP Investments, Toronto.
A spokesperson for CPP said no replacement for Kerr has been named yet.
Apollo had $617 billion in assets under management as of June 30, according to its second quarter earnings report issued on Aug. 3.
