Josh Niedner was named CEO and Chris Stringer was named president of middle-market alternatives manager Apogem Capital, a spokeswoman said.
The manager is a subsidiary of New York Life Investment Management and was created in April 2022 through a combination of alternative managers PA Capital, Madison Capital Funding and GoldPoint Partners.
Niedner is currently head of private credit, and the appointment as CEO represents an expanded role for him. Stringer is head of private equity for the firm and has been serving as interim CEO. Christopher Taylor, Apogem Capital's founding CEO, left the firm in 2022. He is currently head of private credit at alternative manager Third Point.
Apogem Capital has more than $41 billion in assets under management.
