Rob MacNaughton has joined alternative asset manager Aperture Investors as associate portfolio manager and head of U.S. credit strategy, a newly created position, a spokesperson for the firm confirmed.
Based in New York, MacNaughton is also an associate portfolio manager, said a Dec. 11 news release.
MacNaughton will "support the firm's global fixed-income strategies," the release said.
"I'll focus on the U.S. market while also collaborating on global investments alongside Simon Thorp and Charles Koo in the U.K.," MacNaughton said in the release. "Today's rate environment provides opportunities that haven't been seen in a long time, and my work will encompass both the performing and stressed/distressed segments of the high-yield and leveraged loan markets."
Thorp is chief investment officer-U.K. at Aperture, while Koo is an investment officer.
Most recently, MacNaughton was head of U.S. leveraged finance trading at UBS.
UBS could not be immediately reached for further details.
As of Nov. 30, Aperture had $4.3 billion in assets under management.
