Alan Isenberg joined Angelo, Gordon & Co. as global head of the alternative investment firm's client partnership group, a spokesman said in an email.
Mr. Isenberg, who started April 1, succeeds Garrett Walls, former global head of investor relations, who will be a senior adviser to the firm until his scheduled retirement at the end of 2022.
Mr. Isenberg reports to Josh Baumgarten, co-CEO and co-CIO. Mr. Isenberg's duties include new business development, client coverage, product development and management, and client service.
Mr. Isenberg was head of product strategy and marketing at Neuberger Berman. Spokesman Alexander Samuelson said a replacement for Mr. Isenberg has not yet been named. Mr. Samuelson added that Neuberger Berman has "great confidence" in its product strategy and marketing leadership team, and the firm is taking the opportunity to "assess roles and responsibilities and find the right talent to complement this team."
