Alper Daglioglu has joined Brookfield Asset Management as head of the investment solutions group, a newly formed segment of the firm, said an April 17 news release.
The group will “develop tailored multiasset portfolio solutions that leverage Brookfield’s full suite of investment capabilities across renewable power and transition, infrastructure, private equity, real estate and credit,” the release noted.
ISG will also leverage the strategies of its partner manager firms, including Oaktree Capital Management, Castlelake and Pinegrove Capital Partners, among others, the release added.
Howard Marks, co-chairman of Oaktree Capital, will serve as chair of ISG.
Before joining Brookfield, Daglioglu spent more than two decades at Morgan Stanley where he most recently served as head of portfolio and investment manager solutions, which encompassed all asset manager research, family investments and an outsourced CIO business.
A source familiar with the matter said Daglioglu has been replaced by Michael Gaviser who has been handed a new role as head of global investment manager analysis, private markets and portfolio solutions. Gaviser was previously the head of private markets and will retain those responsibilities, the source added.
Brookfield has more than $1 trillion of assets under management.
