Sarah Riley was named U.S. director at the Alternative Investment Management Association.
The position is new, a spokeswoman said in an email.
Ms. Riley, who is based in Austin, Texas and joined AIMA on Monday, will work alongside Michelle Noyes, AIMA's New York-based head of Americas, the spokeswoman said.
Ms. Riley was previously president and CEO of the Texas Alternative Investments Association, where she will continue to serve as a member of its board of directors.
Officials at TAIA did not return phone calls seeking further information.
