Thao joined P&I in 2005 and covers investment news throughout the U.k., Ireland and continental Europe, with a focus on its effects on the U.S. investment market. She is a former editor of the Chambers UK and Chambers USA legal directories. Previous experience also includes the Los Angeles Times in Orange County, reporting on police, legal affairs and housing and urban development. She has also covered healthcare for Singapore Press Holdings. Thao has a B.A. with honors in history and journalism from the University of North Texas, and also completed advanced coursework in computer science and environmental engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1998-1999, she spent a year studying international law as a Knight-Wallace Fellow at Michigan.
