The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) has investment management responsibility for approximately $93 billion in assets under management. The WSIB is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purpose of contracting with the most qualified firm to provide portfolio verification and shadow accounting services.
At a minimum, the WSIB is requesting monthly portfolio verification and daily independent cash reconciliation capabilities for all internally managed funds, the majority of which are fixed income securities. The WSIB may select a contractor for monthly portfolio verification of externally managed equity managers. In addition, The WSIB may select a contractor for daily pricing and unitization of three internally managed fords for defined contribution participants. The WSIB reserves the right to select different contractors for each service.
A qualified offeror must demonstrate substantial experience and capacity in providing similar services to large investment funds, including large public sector clients and must meet certain mandatory requirements set forth in the RFP.
The WSIB plans to release the RFP on February 3, 2014 with a deadline of March 14, 2014 for responses. The RFP will be posted on WSIB’s website at www.sib.wa.gov where further information about the WSIB and a copy of the RFP can be accessed.
