Salary: DOQ. The Mendocino County Employees' Retirement Association (MCERA) is an independent association established by the County Employees Retirement Law (CERL) of 1937 that provides retirement benefits for eligible employees of the County of Mendocino and participating agencies. The Association has net assets of about $432 million and as of June 30, 2014, its membership consisted of 1,327 retirees, 263 inactive vested members, and 1039 current employees. The Association has a FY14/15 budget of about $1.4 million and 5 employees including the Retirement Administrator. Under direction from a nine-member Retirement Board, the Retirement Administrator manages the activities of MCERA in accordance with the CERL of 1937 and assists in the planning and development of fund management, financial services and operations of the Retirement Office. Requires a bachelorís in business, public administration, accounting, finance or related field and five years progressively responsible fund management experience in a public retirement system.
