Alts managers calling it quits

Commodities trader John Henry is the latest hedge fund manager to call it quits, informing clients that his firm John W. Henry & Co. would stop managing outside capital in December.

In July 2011, Soros Fund Management announced that the firm had returned funds from outside investors to avoid new Dodd-Frank reporting regulations. The firm continues to invest the $24.5 billion Soros family fortune.
