Westfield (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for a manager or managers to run about $25 million in an active U.S. core fixed-income strategy.
The board will consider only commingled investment strategies. Separate accounts will not be considered.
The search is being conducted to comply with state laws regarding contract terms, said Raymond Depelteau, chief investment officer for the $240 million pension fund. Income Research & Management is the current manager and is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available via email from Lynn Rea, retirement administrator. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT Oct. 10. The board will select finalists at its November meeting and interview them in December, Mr. Depelteau said.
