University of Houston pledges $22.5 million to 3 funds

University of Houston System committed $22.5 million to three private equity funds on behalf of its $572 million endowment, according to a webcast of its most recent endowment management committee meeting.

The system committed $10 million to Lexington Capital Partners IX, a secondaries fund managed by Lexington Partners; $7.5 million to Thoma Bravo Fund XIII, a buyout fund which focuses on software buyouts; and $5 million to Vivo Capital Fund IX, a health-care venture capital fund.

Vivo Capital and Thoma Bravo are new relationships.

The system previously committed $10 million to Lexington Capital Partners XIII.
