FIS Group hires senior marketer for active global equity strategies

Robert L. Morier joined manager-of-managers specialist FIS Group as senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Mr. Morier, who started May 7, oversees marketing efforts for the firm's range of actively managed global, international and U.S. equity strategies. He reports to Tina Byles Williams, CEO and chief investment officer.

Mr. Morier replaces Samuel M. Austin III, spokeswoman Becky Nye said.

Mr. Austin joined NEPC as a partner and a member of the consulting firm's public fund team in July 2017, a company news release said.

Mr. Morier was managing director and head of North America at Global Evolution USA, where he oversaw the launch of emerging market and sovereign debt strategies for North American institutional investors on behalf of parent company Global Evolution DK, which is based in Kokholm, Denmark. Information about Mr. Morier's successor could not be obtained.

FIS Group's assets under management as of Jan. 31 totaled $5.8 billion, of which about $5.4 billion was managed on a discretionary basis.
