Westfield Contributory Retirement scouts for active U.S. large-cap manager

Westfield (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for at least one manager to run about $45 million in an active U.S. large-cap equity strategy for the system's $230 million portfolio.

Only commingled investment vehicles will be considered.

Incumbent managers Columbia and Boston Co. are invited to rebid, Raymond Depelteau, chief investment officer, said in an email. The search is being conducted to comply with state regulations, he said.

The RFP is available via email from Lynn Rea, retirement administrator. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT April 27. Finalists are expected to be named at the board's May meeting, with interviews in June.

As of Dec. 31, 2016, the system had a target asset allocation of 47.5% to domestic equities.
