CBRE appoints America’s head of portfolio management to CIO role

David Morrison was promoted to chief investment officer of the Americas at real estate manager CBRE Global Investors, said Pam Barnett, spokeswoman, in an email.

Mr. Morrison is taking on a component of the role of Vance Maddocks, CEO of the Americas business. He had been head of portfolio management-Americas. In his new position, Mr. Morrison will be responsible for creating and implementing investment strategy. He is also maintaining his duties overseeing portfolio management.

CBRE Global Investors had $98.3 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
