Patrick Trainor and Kyle Jacobs joined farmland money manager Homestead Capital USA as vice president and head of acquisitions and vice president of due diligence, respectively, said Gabe Santos, co-founder and portfolio manager, in an email.
They are newly created positions and both report to Mr. Santos and Dan Little, fellow co-founder and portfolio manager. Mr. Trainor was previously executive vice president and head of portfolio management at Westchester Group Investment Management. Nuveen spokesman Stewart A. Lewack confirmed Mr. Trainor worked in portfolio management at Westchester, a subsidiary of the money manager, but declined to comment further.
Mr. Jacobs joins the money manager after 15 years with his family farming business.
Homestead Capital has $575 million in assets under management.
