James A. Sia was named head of relationship management at Loomis, Sayles & Co., said company spokeswoman Orla O'Brien.
He replaced Erick Kuchar, who recently assumed the role of chief operating officer, institutional services.
Mr. Sia will oversee the client portfolio management teams in the U.S., London and Singapore offices. This is a slightly expanded role from the one Mr. Kuchar held, which previously only oversaw the U.S. and London offices. He is based in Boston and reports to John Gallagher, executive vice president and director of institutional services.
Mr. Sia was director of subadvisory and defined contribution at Standard Life Investments. His responsibilities have been absorbed by the existing team at the newly merged Aberdeen Standard Investments, said company spokesman Perry Goldman.
Loomis Sayles managed $257.6 billion in assets as of June 30.
