Robeco names head of U.S. institutional asset management

Maureen Beshar was named head of Robeco Institutional Asset Management U.S., said company spokeswoman Eliza de Waard. The position is new.

Ms. Beshar will be based out of the firm's newly opened New York office and lead its U.S. sales and client relationship management efforts. She will also oversee the company's strategic business expansion in the U.S., and will report to Martin Nijkamp, Robeco's interim global head of sales and marketing and head of strategic product and business development.

Ms. Beshar was head of global institutional distribution, client service and marketing at Nuveen. It could not be learned by press time if she has been replaced; Nuveen spokeswoman Kristyna Munoz could not be immediately reached for comment.

Robeco had €147 billion ($175 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
