Newfleet Asset Management selects institutional business development head

William Irvine was named senior managing director and head of institutional business development at Newfleet Asset Management, said spokeswoman Frances Del Valle.

He replaced Chris Kelleher, who retired. Mr. Irvine will offer Newfleet's fixed-income portfolios to institutional clients. He will report to David Albrycht, president and chief investment officer.

Mr. Irvine was managing director leading institutional business development for RBC Global Asset Management. It could not be learned if he was replaced; RBC GAM spokeswoman Leah Commisso could not be immediately reached for comment.

Newfleet Asset Management is an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners with more than $11.8 billion in fixed-income assets under management.
