LaSalle hires new head of U.S. acquisitions

Brad Gries will be joining real estate manager LaSalle Investment Management as head of U.S. acquisitions on Aug. 18, a spokeswoman said in an email.

Mr. Gries will lead the 20-member acquisitions team and will help with capital raising.

He is replacing Derek Lopez, who left LaSalle in the first quarter to join GEM Realty Capital. Mr. Lopez' position at GEM could not immediately be learned.

Mr. Gries was a managing director at Deutsche Asset Management, Americas Real Assets. Michael Golden, Deutsche Asset Management spokesman could not be reached by deadline.
