The position is new. Mr. Monaghan leads business development in the U.K. and Ireland and is responsible for developing institutional and financial intermediary relationships.

Artisan Partners managed $103.8 billion in assets as of March 31.
Mr. Monaghan joined from Nomura Asset Management, where he was an institutional business development director. A spokeswoman was not available to comment about a replacement.
