Ohio State Teachers assigns $514 million to 3 buyout funds

Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, Columbus, made three new commitments to buyout funds totaling up to $514 million, spokesman Nick Treneff said in an email.

The $73.3 billion pension fund committed up to $250 million to Apollo Investment Fund IX, a buyout fund managed by Apollo Global Management, up to €150 million ($164 million) to CVC Capital Partners Fund VII, a European buyout fund, and up to $100 million to Vista Equity Partners Fund VI, a buyout fund.

The pension fund’s target to private equity is 7%; as of Feb. 28, the actual allocation was 6.4%.
