Kathleen Browne was named chief investment officer at Denison University, where she will over see the university's nearly $800 million endowment, said a university spokeswoman in an email.
Ms. Browne replaces Adele Gorrilla, who left the Granville, Ohio-based university at in December to become CIO of newly formed investment firm Ellbar Partners.
Ms. Browne will also be a member of Denison's pensions committee, which oversees the university's retirement plans.
Currently, Ms. Browne is managing director of Wellesley College's $1.8 billion endowment. A Wellesley spokeswoman could not immediately be reached.
Before Wellesley, Ms. Browne was director of alternative assets for Alcatel-Lucent Inc.'s pension plan, a private equity attorney at Goodwin Procter and a systems engineer with The MITRE Corp.
