San Jose CIO resigning

Arn C. Andrews, chief investment officer of the $3 billion San Jose (Calif.) Police & Fire Department Retirement Plan and $2 billion San Jose Federated City Employees’ Retirement System, is resigning effective May 12, Mr. Andrews said in an email.

Mr. Andrews is leaving the pension funds to transition “back into city management” as assistant town manager of Los Gatos, Calif., he said.

He added that Daryn Miller, senior investment officer, will be the top remaining investment official until the pension funds’ boards develop a transition plan.

Before Mr. Andrews became CIO in March 2014, he was assistant director of finance for the city of San Jose.
