Redington bolsters consulting, research teams

Consultant Redington announced three senior appointments as part of continued growth plans.

Ian Mills was named a managing director in the investment consulting team, reporting to David Bennett, head of investment consulting. Mr. Mills was a partner at pensions consultant Lane Clark & Peacock. A Redington spokeswoman said the role is newly created.

Spokesmen for LCP were not available to comment by press time.

The firm also said Paul Richards has taken up a newly created role as head of governance and decision research, said a news release, also reporting to Mr. Bennett. He works with the consulting team to strengthen existing capabilities in helping clients on governance.

Mr. Richards was director of strategy at Redington. Zoe Taylor was hired to take over as director of strategy. She reports to CEO Mitesh Sheth and works closely with Mr. Sheth on strategic initiatives for the consultant. She also works with Dan Mikulskis, head of defined benefit pensions at Redington.

Ms. Taylor was a principal investment consultant at Aon Hewitt. Details on a replacement could not be learned by press time.

“The focus for my first year as CEO was to grow the culture, capability and infrastructure to support our vision” of helping 100 million people become financial secure, said Mr. Sheth in the release. He became CEO one year ago. Redington provides advice on more than £400 billion ($502 billion) of assets.
