T. Rowe Price staying above water

In an environment where most active managers are struggling to outperform their benchmarks, T. Rowe Price has been hanging in there. On average, its institutional active mutual funds have topped their respective benchmarks by 19 basis points over the trailing three-year period and 45 basis points over the trailing five-year period.

Global equities, along with U.S. small and mid-caps, have been areas of strength for the manager while large-cap U.S. equities have been more difficult. T. Rowe Price manages some $27.5 billion in large cap U.S. assets, most of which is in growth focused equities.
