Ross Township Police and General Employees commits $2 million to private debt

Ross Township Police and General Employees' Pension Plans, Pittsburgh, committed $2 million to private debt fund Hamilton Lane Strategic Opportunities Fund 2017, said Robert J. Bulas, senior vice president, institutional investment consultant at Morrison Fiduciary Advisors, the pension fund's investment consultant, in an email.

It is the pension fund's first commitment to private debt. The pension fund issued an RFP in October, and funding will come from rebalancing. No managers will be terminated, Mr. Bulas said.

He did not provide finalist information.

The pension fund has $37 million in assets.
