Chicago Transit Authority seeks private equity fund-of-funds manager

Chicago Transit Authority Employees Retirement Plan is searching for a private equity fund-of-funds manager to run approximately $25 million, said an RFP on the $1.7 billion pension fund’s website.

The reason for the search could not immediately be learned.

The RFP is available on the pension fund’s website.

Proposals are due by 3 p.m. CDT on April 7. A date for a hiring decision was not disclosed.

Investment consultant Marquette Associates is assisting.

As of June 30, the pension fund had a 10% private equity target and actual allocation of 4.3%.
