Lincoln Financial names head of institutional retirement distribution

Gregg Holgate was named senior vice president and head of institutional retirement distribution for the retirement plan services business of Lincoln Financial Group, the company announced Monday.

Mr. Holgate will be responsible for expanding Lincoln Financial retirement plan offerings for corporate and non-profit and tax-exempt plan sponsors, according to a news release.

He replaces John Morabito, who retired in December, said spokeswoman Brenda Haak in an e-mail.

Mr. Holgate had been senior vice president of institutional clients at Voya Financial. “In this role, he managed a team responsible for new plan sales and relationship management for our tax-exempt markets retirement plan business,” Joseph Loparco, a Voya spokesman, wrote in an e-mail.

“As we evaluate its needs and future structure, Gregg’s role will be handled by other members,” Mr. Loparco said.
