Zoe Shaw joined Hermes Fund Managers as head of fixed income, said a spokeswoman.
The role is new, and Ms. Shaw reports to CEO Saker Nusseibeh.
She is responsible for developing the fixed income and credit capabilities already in place at the manager, and will also create a range of specialist credit capabilities that leverage the firm's ownership structure. The firm is owned by the £40 billion ($66.4 billion) BT Pension Scheme, London.
Ms. Shaw was previously managing director at fixed-income investment advisory firm Promethion. Mark Fisher, managing director at Promethion, said it is business as usual at Promethion, and that the firm will probably look to replace her in due course.
