Strathclyde Pension Fund seeks responsible-investment watchdog

Strathclyde Pension Fund, Glasgow, Scotland, is looking for a provider of a responsible investment overlay service, said a notice posted on Scotland's government contracts website.

The search is being conducted by Glasgow City Council on behalf of the £13.1 billion ($22 billion) pension fund.

The pension fund hired Global Engagement Services in 2012 for company engagement and to engage with its investment managers. It could not be learned by press time if the search is to potentially replace GES.

The contract will begin Jan. 1 and end Dec. 12, 2020. Applications are due Sept. 17. A hiring date was not specified.

More information is available on Scotland's government contracts website.

Executives at the pension fund referred questions to the Glasgow City Council. The council's representative for the contract was not available to comment by press time.
