Louisiana Employees commits $75 million to Vista fund

Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, committed $75 million to Vista Equity Partners Fund V, wrote Chief Investment Officer Robert W. Beale in an e-mail.

The $10.6 billion pension fund has $30.7 million invested in previous Vista Equity Partners funds.

Separately, the pension fund added an additional $50 million to EnTrust Capital’s hedge fund-of-funds portfolio. The pension fund originally hired EnTrust Capital in May 2012 to run $100 million in an opportunistic separate account fund of funds.

Also, the board of trustees approved at its meeting on Friday slight adjustments to targets for absolute return, to 8% from 7%, and high yield, to 4% from 5%. The pension fund intends to invest in an opportunistic credit strategy as a result of the increased absolute-return target.
