St. Louis schools' investment committee backs OFI for emerging markets equity

St. Louis Public School Retirement System's investment committee has recommended hiring OFI Global Asset Management to run about $22 million in active emerging markets equities, according to recently released investment committee meeting minutes.

Funding will come from the $927 million pension fund's termination of Batterymarch Financial Management. A reason for the termination was not given.

The pension fund's board of trustees is scheduled to vote on the hiring at its Feb. 24 meeting.

Investment consultant NEPC assisted.

Phone calls to Andrew Clark, executive director, were not returned by press time.
