Ohio Teachers' new CIO takes over Jan. 1

John D. Morrow will take over as deputy executive director-investments and chief investment officer of the $68 billion Ohio State Teachers' Retirement System, Columbus, on Jan. 1, confirmed spokesman Nick Treneff.

He will replace Stephen A. Mitchell, who is retiring effective Dec. 31, confirmed spokesman Nick Treneff. Mr. Mitchell joined the retirement system in 1971 and has led the investments division since 1982.

Mr. Morrow is currently assistant deputy director–investments. Mr. Treneff had no further information on who will succeed him in his current position.
