Noonday takes parent Farallon's name

Farallon Capital Management renamed subsidiary Noonday Asset Management to “unite Farallon Capital Management's global offices under a single name,” confirmed Katrina Allen, a company spokeswoman.

Divisions of Noonday were rebranded Farallon Capital Europe, Farallon Capital Asia, Farallon Capital Asia (HK) and Farallon Capital Japan from Noonday Asset Management, Noonday Asset Management Asia, Noonday Asset Management Asia (HK) and Noonday Asset Management Japan, respectively.

The change was effective Nov. 1.

“While we have largely been known as Noonday in Europe and Asia for some time now, operating under a single name will better serve our overseas teams in every market,” said Andrew Spokes, Farallon's managing partner, in a news release.

Farallon managed $19 billion in credit, value, merger arbitrage, real estate and direct investments in both long-only and hedge fund vehicles as of Oct. 31.
