Rob Roy was named vice president and chief investment officer at Adventist Health System, Altamonte Springs, Fla., confirmed spokeswoman Katie Richardson.
Mr. Roy replaces David Singleton, who also is senior vice president and treasurer; he will retain those titles.
Mr. Roy will oversee the system's $5 billion investment portfolio. Specific details regarding the portfolio were not available by press time.
Mr. Roy was previously chief investment officer at Cain Brothers Asset Management. Tim Sheehan, chief operating officer and interim CIO at CBAM, said a national search for a permanent replacement is underway, and the firm is considering both internal and external candidates.
